History and background of the Faith Apostolic Centre

In 1983 the church was started in Sister September's house at 16 Koolhout Street, Eastridge by Pastor Alfred Fabe. The church building was built and completed in 1985.

The name FAITH CHAPEL was given; because it was inn trusting God that the building is standing today. Ever since it has made tremendous impact into the lives of men and woman in our community.

The emphasis of this fellowship is WORSHIP, PRAYER, TEACHING, RELATIONSHIPS, COMMUNITY and MISSIONS.

Two congregations were birthed from faith chapel, one in Blue Downs and Judah in Tafelsig. Ethel's place was also formed by the Faith Chapel which caters for street kids in the community. Currently it has been handed over to the City Mission Homes.

In 1995 Faith Chapel gave birth to Kingdom Ministries International (K.M.I) who is a covering body to many churches and ministries, locally and abroad. In January 2000 the church handed over to Pastor Mark Kellerman. On the 2nd December 2001 the name of the church was changed from Faith Chapel to: FAITH APOSTOLIC CENTRE in order to become relevant to what God was doing and saying. Why? FAITH, because without faith it's impossible to please God. Our faith is based on Christ plus nothing else.

APOSTOLIC, because apostolic means, SENT ONE and God has given us a mandate to go and touch the Nations! CENTRE, because we wish to impact our community and equip saints for the ministry.
